The Experienced Riders Tour 6 Days/5 Nights: The RIDE is more important than the destination! (Spring to Fall bookings ok!)

Have you already been to Japan's famous sightseeing spots? Maybe you are really focused on experiencing more of the best riding in the country? If so, you've come to the right place! This tours has fun, technical riding sections, so stay focused and enjoy the intensity! Of course, we can adjust the difficulty of the ride based on your desired level, so please let us know if you want a slightly more merciful course!
Day 1
Tokyo to Nishi Izu
Leaving Tokyo in the rear view mirror you will ride in a southern direction along the Tomei Express way towards the Izu Peninsular. Stop for a quick coffee at one of the expressway Service areas and continue on to Gotemba where you will ext the expressway and the fun riding begins.

The route takes you along the Ashinoko Skyline giving great views of Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashi then on to Hakone on the shores of Lake Ashi. After a brief stop to admire the view and take some photos the route travels along country roads across the peninsular to the western side where your will turn onto winding seaside roads along the coastline to your Hotel at Toi.

There are many great photo spots along the route and time permitting stop at the Toi Goldmine which is well worth a visit.

Day 2
Nishi Izu to Shorenji Lake

The most popular route for Today will have you riding along the Nishi Izu Skyline which winds along the mountains range offering some excellent viewing of Mt Fuji and the Izu Coastline and on towards Shuzenji. Stop at the Damo Mountain rest stop for great photo opportunities and continue on to Shuzenji, which is a famous onsen Village and worth a brief stopover.

The ride continues through easy cruising country roads to Numazu where you will join the highway for a run down to Lake Hamana and then along the coastal route to Irago Port where you will catch the Ferry for a one hour ferry ride to Toba. Its a scenic cruise and a good time to relax. Time permitting take the Ise Shima Skyline to the famous Ise Jungu Shrine, beautiful spot for some sightseeing and photos.

Your hotel about an hour and a half ride away on the Shores of Lake Shorenji An intense riding option is available from Ise for those with energy to burn.

Day 3
Shorenji Lake to Wakayama

A fun ride awaits you today, leaving your hotel the route winds its way along the lakeside for about 30 minutes before continuing along country roads to Mt Koya a famous Shrine and National Park area with great winding mountain roads, which wind their way up to Mt. Gomadan and on along the Ryujin Skyline.

The roads are great with lots of photo opps along the way. As the road winds it way down towards Wakayama you will divert along the coastal road to your hotel Time permitting visit Cape Shionomisaki for some scenic photos.

Total Distance is about 300km and it will take about 6 hrs of riding time.

Day 4
Wakayama to Yunoyama Onsen

Leaving your hotel you will have a short ride along the coast to Kumano before heading inland towards Shimokitayama onsen along some excellent riding roads along the lakes and riversides.

I really wanted to stop and take photos along here but the ride was such fun with no traffic and cherry blossom blooming the photos stops just didn’t seem to happen. As the road continues along the Yoshino river valley and past Mt. Takami stop for a quick coffee break at Takami no Sato and continue on toward the Aoyama Plateau and its wind farms.

From here the road winds up past Shakujo Lake onto the Suzuka Skyline for a great ride along the mountains to your accommodations. Total Distance today is approx 320km and it will take 5.5-6hrs.

Day 5
Yunoyama Onsen to Shizuoka
Your hotel is strategically located at the start of the Suzuoki Skyline which is a great way to start todays ride. Enjoy a the skyline first before turning onto the highway bypassing Nagoya city and heading towards the mountains in Shizuka where some very twisty mountain roads await you.

While quite narrow and tight in places the road surfaces are good and the ride is great fun. After some exhilarating riding you will arrive at your hotel which is tucked away in the very cool mountain village Sekikoudoku village,

Total Distance is Approx. 330km and it will take a little over 5 hrs riding time.

Day 6
Shizuoka to Tokyo

As you leave from your Mountain hotel the road will continue to climb and wind it’s way up to Ikawa Lake and continues down and along the Abe river and onto a short expressway ride before exiting agin and heading for the Mt. Fuji Evergreen Line which runs along the lower slopes of Mt Fuji.

Stop for some photos of Mt Fuji Continue on to Lake Yamanaka and Lake Sagami. Join the Expressway for a final ride into Tokyo. Total Distance is about 270km and it will take approx. 4.5-5hrs riding time.
