After a bit of easy street riding to get used to your motorcycle, you will be leaving Tokyo on a brief stretch of highway. First-timer to Japan, and can't read any Japanese traffic signs? No worries! We set up your navigation unit with a special set of waypoints that guide you out of the city in the easiest to understand way, using the least crowded roads.

Day 13
Japan Motorcycle Tours ninjatours Shuzenji tre lined narrow road
Today's ride is one of my favorites: a very twisty road along the coastline of Suruga Bay. The road is very challenging, but road surfaces are very good, and the scenery is great. There are many photo spots along the way, and I am sure you will enjoy it. Continue past Cape Ose and on to the seaside town of Toi.

We recommend a stop at the Toi Gold Mine before continuing on along the coastline. From there, you will turn inland towards the mountains, and on to the Nishi Izu Skyline. This twisting mountain road winds its way along the ridges toward Darumayama, yet another fun ride with good surfaces and great views. From here it is a short ride to the beautiful onsen village of Shuzenji, which is worth taking some time to explore. From Shuzenji, it is a short ride from here to your riverside accommodations for tonight.

Total distance is about 220 km and it will take about 4 hrs riding time.

Stop for a break at a lakeside cafe and continue along the Ashinoko Skyline, another fun mountain top road and on towards Mt. Fuji. Ride along the Fuji Evergreen line and up to the Mt. Fuji Southern Viewing Station. Take in the amazing view before continuing past Lake Motosuko and the Narusawa Ice Caves, before reaching your hotel on the shores of Lake Kawaguchi.

Total distance is about 230km and it will take about 4.5hrs riding time.
