Tokyo to Okuhida
Day 1
After a bit of easy street riding to get used to your motorcycle, you will be leaving Tokyo on a brief stretch of highway. First-timer to Japan, and can't read any Japanese traffic signs? No worries! We set up your navigation unit with a special set of waypoints that guide you out of the city in the easiest to understand way, using the least crowded roads.

As you depart from Tokyo this morning your route will take you along the northern side of Mt. Fuji and on toward the Southern Alps and Lake Suwa. Leaving the Expressway at Lake Suwa you will continue along twisty mountain roads toward Mt Kirigamine and on to the famous Venus Line which climbs and winds it’s way toward Utsukushigahara highlands and Matsumoto.

The route includes the lower sections of Venus Line before diverting off towards Takayama and the Southern Alps. From there you will enjoy the ride which winds its way up the Nomugi Highway, a beautiful scenic cruise, past Mountain Lakes and passes, past Mt. Norikura and on to your ryokan hotel.

Total distance approx 340kms and 5 hours of riding

Day 2 and Day 3
Okuhida to Kyoto

Your Route today is relatively short in order to maximize sight seeing time in Kyoto. The fastest route will take you along the expressway past Lake Biwa and into Kyoto City. Total Distance is approx. 280km and it should take approx 3.5-4hrs. Check into your hotel and go explore the beautiful city of Kyoto.

Kyoto to Maizuru
Day 4
Your ride today is coastal cruising along the Sea of Japan to Mikatagoko (Five Lakes) area, this includes an attractive ride with some great sightseeing and photo spots.

Ride along the Mikatago Rainbow line, a scenic route winding between the lakes and coastal mountains and on toward Maizuru. Stop for a break and take some photos at Maizuru or Amanohashidate before continuing on to your seaside Hotel.

Total Distance today is approx 230km and it will take about 4.0 hours riding time.

Day 5
Maizuru to Misasa Onsen
Japan motorcycle tours ninjaours funaya islands with hairpin turn
From your hotel today your course takes you by Funaya, a beautiful seaside fishing port famous for its boathouses and scenery. Continue along the coastline past Kyoga Misaki Light house to Yuhigaura Onsen and on to the Coastal fishing port of Kasumi. As the ride continues along past the Tottori Sand Dunes stop for a break at the way pointed coffee shop.

After you continue past Lakes Koyama and Togo, you are done with the seaside riding for today, and your course veers inland towards Mt. Daisen. The Oyama loop road, its a twisty mountain road with some great views and it’s a fun ride. Your route then continues along easy cruising country roads to your secluded onsen hotel.

Total Distance is approx 330km and will take about 5 hours of riding.

Misasa Onsen to Hiroshima
Day 6 / Day 7
Japan motorcycle tours ninjatours hiroshima miyajima island itsukushima red gate
Today should you feel inclined for some early sightseeing, head for Izumo Taisha, one of the most famous shrines in Japan, and a place where all Japanese try to visit at least once in their lives. Spend a hour or so here before heading off on the next leg.

The route will take you across the main island to the Inland Sea, which is a beautiful protected waterway between Honshu and Shikoku islands. It is an easy ride along the expressway and on to your hotel in Hiroshima.

Total Distance is approx. 180km and it should take about 3hrs riding time. Enjoy the afternoon sight seeing in Hiroshima.

Day 8
Hiroshima to Arima Onsen
If you wish to fit in a little last minute sightseeing before you head for Arima Onsen today, that will work fine. While total distance today is approx. 320km, you should be able to do it quite comfortably in about 4.5-5hrs. plus some sightseeing time.

The route will take you north towards Onomichi and onwards towards Kobe. Stop off at beautiful Himeji Castle for some great photos before continuing on to Mt. Rokko and your hotel at Arima Onsen.

Your accommodations sit in the hills overlooking Kobe and the inland sea.

Arima Onsen to Toba
Day 9
Japan Motorcycle Tour Ninjatours Toba Ise Jingu Shrine
Leaving Arima Onsen, your route today is heading for the Mie Peninsula on to the famous Ise Jingu shrine, a beautiful historic park and shrine complex which is well worth a visit.

Spend an hour or so at least here. Leaving Ise Jingu, continue along the Ise line which is a nice cruisy country road heading toward the coast. Follow the Pearl route, another great road which will lead you to your hotel in Toba.

Total Distance is approx 275km and it should take a little over 4 hrs plus sightseeing time.

Day 10
Toba to Mt. Fuji
Your day starts with a brief ride to the Toba Ferry Terminal to catch the Isewan ferry heading for Irago port. It is a pleasant trip across a sheltered bay with nice views, and will take about an hour and a half.

From Irago port, your route runs along the peninsula heading towards Lake Hamana. From Hamana you will take a quick run along the expressway towards Numazu. Ride along the Fuji Evergreen line and up the the Mt. Fuji Southern viewing station, continue past Lake Yamanaka to your hotel near Lake Kawaguchi.

Total distance is about 280km and it will take about 5.5hrs riding time, including the ferry.

Mt. Fuji to Tokyo
Day 11
Japan Motorcycle Tours ninjatours mt fuji Tokyo Lake Kawaguchi
You can have a relaxed start to the day, enjoy some of the many sightseeing attractions around Mt.Fuji. After that, follow some nice winding roads to Lake Sagami and then back onto the expressway to Tokyo.

Distance is approx. 150km and it will take 2 to 3hrs depending on road conditions.
