Tokyo to Nikko
Day 1

After a bit of easy street riding to get used to your motorcycle, you will be leaving Tokyo on a brief stretch of highway. First-timer to Japan, and can't read any Japanese traffic signs? No worries! We set up your navigation unit with a special set of waypoints that guide you out of the city in the easiest to understand way, using the least crowded roads.

Then, veer off onto local roads following a river as the road continues into the foothills surrounding Nikko National Park. The roads are winding and scenic with few tighter places to keep your attention.

The road climbs and will lead you to Irohazaka, a famous winding road which leads to the beautiful mountain Lake Chuzenji. There are many lakeside restaurants etc at which you can take a break before carrying onto your hotel. Visit world famous Toshogu Shrine, a World Heritage site, and enjoy the atmosphere of this very popular town.

Total Distance approx.190km about 3.5-4hrs riding time.

Day 2
Nikko to Kusatsu
Todays ride will have you riding along the shoreline of Chuzenji lake and then climbing up to Lake Yuno before continuing on to Marunuma Kogen Ski resort.

The road is winding and is a fun ride with nice views and good surface. Continue on along country roads to Agatsuma Gorge where you can take a coffee break, From here you will have an easy cruise along the Shirasuna River before climbing up to your Hotel in Kusatsu onsen.

The ride will take approx 3.5-4hrs today so you have time for sightseeing in Kusatsu Onsen.

Kusatsu to Matsumoto
Day 3

Leaving you hotel in Kusatsu today your country roads flow nicely winding their way towards lake Tashiro ,Yunomaru Ski area and onwards along the Tokorozawa river. Continue on to Yamatakahara ski fields and on to Kirigamine Road station at the foot of the famous Venus Line.

The route climbs its way up Venus Line past Mt Miune, stop for a photo, and continue on to Utsukushigahara Road Station which is located at the 2000m mark and offer some great scenery and photo ops. Continuing on along Venus Line you will then turn onto Utsukushigahara Skyline, which is a tight twisty section which is sure to get your attention, as it winds its way up to Lake Misuzu in the mountains above Matsumoto.

Cruise on down to Matsumoto Castle for some sightseeing before continuing on to your Ryokan Hotel. Distance is only a little over 190km it will probably take 4.5 hrs of actual riding time.

Day 4
Matsumoto to Mt. Fuji
We have two options for today but this is the most popular. Leaving your hotel in Matsumoto you will drive into the mountains and up to Lake Misuzu and continue along the Utsukushigahara Skyline. This twisty winding will get you warmed up before turning onto the famous Venus Line, which is a great road with some outstanding scenery.

Take a brief stop at the Utsukushigahara rest area, which is at 2000m, for a quick coffee and some great photos. Continuing along Venus Line you will wind your way down to Mt. Kirigamine and on to Lake Suwa, this really is a great ride and you are sure to remember it. The ride continues along the expressway before diverting with a brief excursion along Misaka Michi for some great views of Mt. Fuji.

Your Hotel is a short ride from here. Total Distance is approx 270km. And it will take about 5 hours riding time.

Mt. Fuji to Tokyo
Day 5

You can have a relaxed start to the day, enjoy some of the many sightseeing attractions around Mt.Fuji and then follow some nice winding roads to Lake Sagami and then back onto the expressway to Tokyo. Distance is Approx. 150km and it will take 2 to 3hrs depending conditions
